When Savannah McLaughlin’s 6-year-old daughter is kidnapped from her tightly-secured private school, Savannah knows there’s only one way to get her back, and it’s not going to be easy.

The day already isn’t going well for Savannah McLaughlin. As head of “The Child Advocacy Center” in Washington D.C., she’s been filming an ad all day long, and soon, she’s going to be late to pick up her 6-year-old daughter, Caroline, from school. Things only get worse when she gets stopped by an accident on the way to Caroline’s school. By the time she gets there, Caroline is gone, but school officials swear that Savannah already picked her up. Who is the imposter kidnapper, and why have the kidnapped a 6-year-old?

Savannah knows there’s only one way to find her daughter, and that’s through Major Christopher Dane, a man with whom she has a tangled past. Can Savannah and Dane (as he’s known), find Savannah’s precious daughter or will their history get in the way?

Author Betsy Brannon Green is probably best known for her “Haggerty Mysteries”. You know - small Georgia town full of old people that solve crimes. I’m not a huge fan of the geriatric crime fighters, so I wasn’t expecting anything amazing when I picked up Hazardous Duty. Let me tell you - this book is a million times better than any of the books in the “Haggerty Mysteries” series. Really, I was impressed with how involved I got with the book - I couldn’t put it down! It was an easy-to-follow mystery, but I loved the fact that I had absolutely no clue as to who the criminal was until the very end of the book - as a good mystery book should be!

I’m so excited about how good this book was that I’m hoping that the series continues as promised on the book’s front cover.

You can find Hazardous Duty by Betsy Brannon Green at www.DeseretBook.com or wherever LDS books are sold.
