[photopress:Image1_product.jpg,full,alignleft]We’ve all heard the story of the poor old sister who was called to teach the Sunbeams. On a visit to her doctor, it was all she could talk about: those sun beams just drive her crazy, bouncing off the ways and running all over the place! Author Bruce Lindsay (a KSL anchor) takes that story and makes it better, along with other news from small town Parley Grove, Utah.

Hometown Weekly: Good News For a Change isn’t your typical LDS novel. I don’t know if it could even be classified as a novel because each chapter is a different story. Author Bruce Lindsay takes a look into small town Parley Grove, Utah’s newspaper, and gives the back story behind the town’s hilarious characters (all with decidedly Utah names!)

“Ripped straight from the headlines” – yes, you’ll definitely enjoy Hometown Weekly: Good News For a Change. I think this book reaches a wide audience. It would be great not only for the traditional LDS fiction readers, but most assuredly for the older generation. I highly recommend this book as a lighthearted change from the same old, same old.
