Read about the exciting, tragic and inspired life of William Tyndale – the Father of the English Bible, in S. Michael Wilcox’s “Fire in the Bones”.
This true story is both uplifting and intriguing. For the details, keep reading…
More than 400 years ago, William Tyndale was helping prepare the world for the Restoration. In his contributions to the Bible we read today, Tyndale’s contributions to the English language parallel or exceed those of Shakespeare.
But unlike Shakespeare, Tyndale lived the drama the other William only wrote about. “Fire in the Bones” retells the exciting and true account of Tyndale’s life as a man inspired by the heavens, but hunted by man.
This book is both interesting and exciting. It draws numerous parallels between the life and teachings of William Tyndale and those of Joseph Smith and ancient prophets.
Those with shorter attention spans might be temporarily detoured by doctrinal sidetracks, but will be quickly drawn back in to the life of one of the boldest Reformers.
This book is easily recommended. The subject matter is important and language easy to lose yourself in. Best for ages 14 and up, especially history enthusiasts.
