Upcoming Changes

After playing around and destroying the website a couple of times (a big thank you to the inventor of backups) a few changes will happen in the next couple of weeks. These include

LDSReview.net will get a facelift (already happened)
All the old posts will be moved into a new category (not sure about the name yet)
A set of new categories will appear.
We will allow you to write reviews of products and websites (All must be LDS related) and also rate products/websites and other reviews. For this we will also introduce an account area

There will also be other changes but I think these are the first big ones. If you have any suggestions please email us

New Drama Celebrates Life of Gordon B. Hinckley

A film dramatization of the life of former LDS Church president Gordon B. Hinckley is opening in theaters Tuesday November 25th. The DVD is being released the same day. Check back here for a review

The screening Tuesday at 7pm will be at the Megaplex 17 at Jordon Commons and the Megaplex 20 at the District. All proceeds from the screenings will go to the Perpetual Education Fund, founded during Hinckley’s presidency.

The film, directed by T.C. Christiansen, chronicles the life of the prophet including key character-building moments and a love story. Showings and DVD information are available on the film’s website.

The Kansas City Temple

We don’t typically report on temples here (since we focus on LDS media), but we’re too excited not to post about the recently announced Kansas City Temple – it is only a few miles from LDSreview headquarters!

As such, we feel it’s our duty to report about the details and progress of this new temple which we will post here.
